Brooklyn cinder block

I want to tell you about Max Steiner, one of my favorite new designers whose visionary buoyancy sheds new light on his innate talent to see outside the box. When I was first contacted by Max, about a week ago, I did what anyone would do. I browsed his website. And as an artist, was instantly drawn to the various elements of his inspiring collections. Conceptualizing the simplicity of paper folding, Max tells me, "Folding paper since I was five years old has led to my ORIGAMI collection, one of my most popular. Working in an industrial neighborhood in Brooklyn has led to the development of the CINDER BLOCK collection." And the results are flawlessly executed. Not only does he incorporate an organic wearability through his architectural jewelry, but the fact that he does so with such an influential voice of his everyday surroundings, adds an extraordinary amount of intimacy that's hard to come by.
Thank you, Max for my rad new cinder block necklace. I sorta refuse to take it off! It's always fun discovering something with such understated complexity that you never knew you couldn't live without until the moment you did.

About the Artist: A native of New York, Max Steiner Design has been featured in The New York Times, Nylon Guys, The Chicago Tribune, Elle, and is available with several retailers.

Amazing post, baby! I'd been wanting to see you in that jacket. I love the texture of the skirt, especially in the context of the largely concrete background. I thought the boots looked pretty cool in the pictures, but they're way more amazing on you. The necklace is so cool...still excited to see it in person. And you're a beautiful girlfriend!!! And, of course, your writing is fantastic! This entry should have 23041980419483 comments.

lol @ Olive...I think we're ALL lucky! ;p

Hey there Bella, nice write up. I like Max's jewelry a lot, but honestly the first thing I was drawn to was your big ring. It's a nice color stone set in silver, and big enough to have real impact.

Vitamins for Happy Tresses

Nobody wants to think about thinning hair, and when extra strands start blanketing your bathroom floor it can be very scary. As women, we tend to put our locks through the ringer by blow-drying, straightening, coloring, and raking a brush through wet tresses. Big no no. But everyday stress and hormonal imbalances play a part too. Hair loss afflicts men and women and to some degree, it's perfectly normal. But it can be a sign of a more serious problem so it's important to take those vital steps in improving your hair health and that means taking your daily vitamins.
Formulated with OptiMSM® and 37 essential vitamins, minerals, and herbs for hair strengthening nutritional support, Vibrance Pure Hair Vitamins for Growth nourishes your hair while creating more volume and shine. I've been taking Vibrance Pure Hair Vitamins for Growthfor a little over two weeks and while I haven't seen a significant change in growth, I have noticed a better balance of oils when I'm on that…
